The Ghana mission Effort had it's beginnings in July of 2005 as we traveled to Ghana, West Africa on our first mission trip. As a result I'm the effort there were 208 Souls baptized into Christ because of house-to-house
Bible studies and preaching in their congregations. At the very beginning we realized how blessed we were in this country and how badly our help was needed there in the spreading of the Gospel. Therefore, we began by supporting two young men, Donatus Nyaaba and Joseph Yankey, as they began their studies at the West coast school of Preaching in Takoradi. They were the first of the 15 men that we have supported in the school and now all are gospel preachers. Because of the poverty that we found in the villages and that of the preachers were decided too give some support too two of them, Joshua Ansah and John Etta Amoah, but through the years that number has now increased to 18 preachers that we are helping. After a couple of years we began supporting of a weekly radio ministry and with the response we received, it was decided to begin a second and then later a third. Many souls have been added to the Lord’s church as a result of the preaching of these men who are all graduates of the preaching school. At about the same time that the radio ministry was started we began supporting monthly public preaching where our team of 5 preachers would go to a selected village and teach Bible studies from house-to-house in the daytime then have public preaching at night. Hundreds of people will come and listen to the gospel preaching each night and some will become Christians as a result of it. About six years ago we visited the Krison Refugee Camp where hundreds of refugees were located mainly because of the 18 year civil war in Liberia, but there are also refugees from eight different countries there. There is a congregation of the church in the camp with much poverty and malnutrition and as a result of the we decided to buy the church some rice in order to help our Christian brothers and sisters. Today we are buying $100 worth of rice each month. We continue to go back to Ghana as often as we can in order to reach as many of the lost as possible and to fulfill the commandment we find in Mark 16:15, "Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel." Yes, we are blessed in this country. ( Written by Brother Owen Yandall) Contributions can be sent to:
